Unlike most astrology books, Easy Astrology Guide was written by a woman well-trained in psychology as well as psychological techniques. Her insightful blend of the best of these two fields is a rare gift for the reader.
Maritha Pottenger discusses the positive and negative options for every basic astrological position. She offers tips and suggestions for making the most of your assets and overcoming personal liabilities. This book is designed for activist astrology a tool to make your life more fulfilling!
"Your clear, compassionate teaching has made astrology an exciting adventure now based in love of self. Am devouring your beautifully written books and will sing your praises endlessly.... You are truly a Master Teacher with Consciousness."
K.C. of Sedona, AZ
"I thank you also for serving as a role model. I've studied for almost 17 years, and have gained a profound understanding of astrology as a psychological tool, and plan to continue in the steps of Stephen Arroyo, Liz Greene and yourself, as examples. I should complete my degree at Rutgers next fall, and all of you have been a motivating factor. I appreciate the ground-breaking work."

From Introduction: Astrology For People Ready To Be Happy:
I've seen astrology help people transform their lives
from the displaced homemaker whose horoscope encouraged her to undertake a new (and successful!) career in art.
from the bank manager afraid to leave her dependable job until her chart reinforced the importance of healing work in her life (and gave her "permission" to pursue psychology).
from the failing child who just wanted to play baseball with parents who thought he should sit for hours finishing homework until they found out how essential physical activity was for him. (His grades soared when he got to play baseball regularly and do homework in chunks rather than all at one sitting.)
from the mother who realized, through astrology, she was taking old resentments she had toward her mother out on her own young son (and stopped!).
from the woman who had a habit of falling for married men--until she learned, with astrology, how to combat the habit, and found a nice, unmarried man (and married him) .
from the married couple who learned, through astrology, to accept each other's different financial styles, and stop tearing apart their marriage over money.
One of my central convictions after twenty years of learning and professional work with astrology is that every astrological placement has an up side and a down side. Part of my motivation for writing this book is to provide a truly comprehensive look (the "good" and the "bad" and how to transform perceived negatives into positives) at astrological combinations for which some authors have presented a narrow (all "good" or all "bad") viewpoint. For that reason, I have sought feedback from other astrologers before putting these interpretations in print....
