There is a time and a season for everything. Everything has its cycle, its beginning and its end. Astrology, typically, is the study of cycles, from the twenty-four hour cycle of the earth's rotation on its axis which causes night and day, to the larger cycles of Neptune and Pluto which govern the generations of Man. Every activity has its time to flourish and to wane, to be gainful or to be fruitless. Dieting is no exception. Astrology makes it possible to predict the cycles at work within our own bodies and to time our eating in accordance with those natural rhythms. Through astrology, it can be determined when to eat certain foods and when to avoid others, in order to lose weight.
Just as the full bloom of Summer yields to the chill of Autumn winds, and the frost of Winter gives way to the first blush of Spring, our eating habits must adapt to the prevailing conditions about us. Traditionally, it has been appropriate to eat more liquids and lighter foods during Summer and heavier foods during Winter. This very natural compensation for the change in seasons is actually in accordance with an astrological cycle. The seasons are caused by the earth's yearly revolution around the sun, or in astrological terms, by its transit through all twelve signs of the zodiac. As with the seasons of the year, our bodies respond to the ceaseless ebb and flow of the universe. Nothing is static; nothing impervious to change. Each is the result of astrological influences in cyclical vacillation, working their effects upon our bodies in pre-ordained sequences.
