4: Mental Interests and Abilities
Mercury in Cancer:
You are highly interested
in inner, subjective, and personal issues, and your thinking is based
more on feelings, intuition, personal experiences, and prejudices
rather than reason or logic. Intellectual abilities and
accomplishments without heart or soul mean little to you. You are
empathic and would be an excellent counselor, for you are a sensitive
listener and deeply interested in a person's feelings and inner life.
In addition to psychology, you are drawn to education, art, poetry,
music, or mythology. You are not especially confident about speaking
in public, but will open up and share your thoughts in small,
intimate groups. You enjoy keeping a diary or personal journal and
reading the chronicles of others' lives and personal development.
Mercury in 5th house:
You enjoy puzzles and
other games that challenge you intellectually. You like to show off
your verbal or intellectual skills and to use your mind creatively.
Writing, dramatic speaking or some other display of your creative
intelligence appeals to you.
Mercury Quincunx Jupiter:
You often seesaw between
what your conscious reasoning tells you versus a belief in things
which seem to defy logic. You have a penchant for thinking big and
being able to visualize the future, but beware of grandiose schemes
and exaggerated claims. Oftentimes the most "far out"
theories or speculative ideas seem perfectly plausible to you, but it
would be wise to test these ideas before you invest too much into
them. Also, you are prone to severe wanderlust at times, so try to
see as much of the world as you can.
Mercury Trine Neptune:
You are open and
receptive to subjects which defy rational explanation, such as
psychic phenomena, mental telepathy, metaphysics, etc., and you could
teach these subjects to others. Your mind is imaginative and inspired
and you have an aptitude for art and creative writing.
Mercury Sextile Pluto:
Your mind is
characterized by a penetrating depth and thoroughness. You ferret out
the facts, and especially enjoy a problem if there is an element of
mystery, darkness, or the forbidden. Generally, you don't shy away
from the truth, no matter how unpleasant.
Mercury Opposition Jupiter/MC
You have a positive
outlook on life, are far-sighted and prudent, and have a wealth of
thoughts. You tend to plan large scale projects or ventures and are
likely to be very successful. You have good business associations and
also love social meetings.

5: Emotions: Moods, Feelings, Romance
Moon in Taurus:
Even-tempered and
peace-loving, you are not easily ruffled and are rarely given to
emotional displays. You have a calming effect on more high-strung or
volatile people, and an emotional steadiness that others find
soothing. Though gentle and not easily provoked, you are tremendously
stubborn and will resist any change which requires an emotional
adjustment, such as changes in your home life or marriage.
You seek security and
loyalty in love, are extremely devoted to your loved ones, and
provide a warm, nurturing atmosphere for them. However, you tend to
cling and seek to keep others from changing.
A great deal of physical
affection, closeness, and touching is essential to your well-being,
and you have a tendency to overindulge in sensual comforts and
pleasures. At times you substitute food for emotional comfort and love.
Moon in 2nd house:
You are likely to be a
great collector of things - a real pack rat in fact - for your
belongings give you a sense of security and continuity with the past,
which is important to you. Antiques or things with sentimental value
from your past are especially dear to you.
You may also cling rather
tightly to both money and possessions, keeping them "in the
family" rather than sharing freely with those outside of your
immediate circle.
Moon Conjunct Venus:
No matter how you appear
on the surface, you have a very soft heart and others can always
appeal to your sympathetic, affectionate side. You especially care
about the needs of children, mothers, and families, and you want a
love partner who values marriage, home, and family as much as you do.
Unkindness or harshness offends you very much.
Moon Square Saturn:
You often feel that you
must do something or be something other than what you are in order to
receive approval and acceptance from others. You are very sensitive
to criticism and easily feel left out or neglected, and though you
may appear cool or distant, you actually care very much about being
included. Because you are so sensitive, it may seem easier for you to
withdraw into a shell rather than risk the emotional bumps and
bruises that can occur when you let others really know you in an
intimate, personal way. Your reserve and caution make establishing a
close emotional rapport with others difficult for you, and you become
very attached to the few people you consider "real friends".
You can gain inner security and strength through periods of solitude

You enjoy emotional

resources. You are able to handle an emotional crisis very well, and
you are interested in the deep roots of emotional problems and how to

the open, for you want real closeness and intimacy with others,
without barriers or secrets.

In love, you are
steadfast and loyal, especially if you have a warm, demonstrative
partner. You are very sensually oriented and need lots of touching
and physical affection. You enjoy being pampered with a good meal,
loving massage, or other sensual delights. You are a wonderful lover,
very attentive to the comfort and enjoyment of the one you love. You

For you, caring and
affection must be expressed tangibly, and you love giving and
receiving gifts. You value luxury, comfort, and elegance very highly
and appreciate beautiful things. You can be self-indulgent and
extravagant. Being overly possessive of people you love and of your
belongings is something you need to beware of.

You share freely whatever
you have, and your friends know they can always count on your
generosity and support, both emotional and material. Your
good-hearted acceptance and tolerance of others' foibles goes a long
way in maintaining harmony in your relationships. You also have a
lazy streak and sometimes avoid confronting difficult issues in
relationships simply because it seems like too much trouble and too
petty. You like to socialize and will use any excuse to celebrate
with friends. You cannot tolerate too much restriction by your love
partner, and encourage your partner's freedom as well.

and Saturn:
Your pleasure-loving
nature and your emotional and material generosity discussed above are
counterbalanced by a certain caution or restraint in expressing your
affection, and by a fear of heartache. At times you are likely to be
the jovial, friendly, rather extravagant person mentioned previously,
but at other times you are far more contained as described here.
Because you are upbeat and fun-loving, people probably do not suspect
how sensitive you are to being left out or unappreciated.
Venus Square Saturn:
You are serious and find
it difficult to enjoy yourself in a lighthearted, open and playful
way with others. You rarely do something purely for pleasure, and can
be very close-fisted and parsimonious. Perhaps due to painful
separations in your early life, you are very cautious about becoming
close to people and sharing your feelings. Though you crave love and
affection, intimacy is difficult for you. You may become romantically
involved with people who do not value you or treat you well. You need

6: Drive and Ambition: How You Achieve Your Goals
Mars in Leo:
You are proud and
ambitious, and you strive to excel, to stand out and be recognized
for who and what you are. You have a very strong ego drive and like
to be Number One. You find it difficult to take orders from others or
to stay in the background, and you hate being wrong; you always
insist that you are right!
You are forceful, strong,
energetic, determined, and highly competitive. You play hard, you
play to win, and you do not give up easily. In fact, you see life as
a competitive sport or performance. You love admiration and applause,
and you have a strong sense of personal honor and integrity. You tend
to be very self-confident, even arrogant. Because of your belief in
yourself, you are able to accomplish much, but if your confidence is
ever undermined, you become self-conscious, defensive, and rather belligerent.
Mars in 6th house:
You expect to work hard
for anything you accomplish and you have no patience for people who
don't pull their own weight. Work is a passion for you at times, and
you push yourself too hard. You can be too demanding of the people
you work with also. If your energy is not invested in a job or
career, you can become a fanatic about your health, and you may
exercise or "work out" vigorously and perhaps excessively.
Mars Conjunct Uranus:
Dynamic, self-willed, and
fiercely independent, you have extraordinary drive and energy. When
you want something, you want it NOW, and you act quickly,
impulsively, and decisively. Your impatience inclines you to be
abrupt with people and reckless. You need a great deal of personal
freedom to do things on your own way and do not happily conform to
schedules, rules, or regimes imposed by others. You are intolerant of
authority and can be very rebellious. You are very frank with others,
sometimes brutally so. You may have an explosive temper. High-strung
and often nervous and tense, you find it difficult to slow down, pace
yourself, or relax. You are always on the go. You are restless,
daring, and experimental.

Your ambitions and
long-range goals in life are apt to be personal, subjective, and
related to inner development or inner satisfaction. Others'
recognition or accomplishing something great in material or public
terms is quite secondary to you. A great deal of your energy,
attention, and fulfillment may be related to home, family, or
fulfilling your heritage in some manner.

You have an abundance of
energy, drive, and spirit to accomplish just about anything you
desire. Your single-mindedness and zeal to get things done enable you
to accomplish much. Sometimes you push yourself too hard without even
