Basic AstroMap Interpretations - Part 1

Your AstroMap shows geographic areas where you attract certain kinds of situations. For example, in one geographic area you may find that job opportunities are better, and in another area you may find that you are able to have a happy and fulfilling home and family life.

On the AstroMap are lines yellow and red lines. The red lines are straight and vertical, and the yellow lines are usually slanted and curving. These lines indicate geographic areas where there is a particular astrological influence that affects you while you are in this geograhic region.

An area with no lines going through it has no particular "astrological boost". This does not mean that life is unexciting or uneventful in these areas; it simply means that there is no particular emphasis in that geographic area.

You should use common sense when studying your AstroMap. For example, some people love cities and some prefer a rural setting. You may prefer a region of the country that has natural beauty, or perhaps a highly educated public, or perhaps a strong artistic community. Some people have a particular love for a particular kind of environment, perhaps mountains, or ocean, or a tropical climate and atmosphere or perhaps a rugged environment with cold winters and mild summers. The culture, natural environment, architecture, and available resources will have a huge effect on your response to a particular geographic region. Astrological influences will not negate the importance of these factors.

However, some people are surprised to find that in a particular town they encounter the kind of people and life style that they enjoy, while another town that seems similar does not prove to be as attractive or comfortable. Two people with similar tastes and life style may have very different reactions to Chicago, or London, or Tokyo or anywhere else. Astrology often explains what otherwise is difficult to understand.

Note also that astrology is not fatalistic. It is up to you to utilize the energies available to you in the best possible way. Astrology can help you better understand what kinds of energies underlie your present situation, and thereby help you to take the right steps to improve your life. Wise use of the energies available to a person can make it possible to get a positive result from the most challenging astrological influences.

Locate these astrological symbols on the pages below to see what the astrological influence means. In the description of these astrological influences we frequently emphasize what you can do to utilize the astrological influence to best advantage. As we said earlier, astrology is not fatalistic and should never be an excuse for failure or problems in your life. You have the ability and opportunity each day to express the energies available to you in new, creative, positive life-enhancing ways.

Some symbols have a number between 2 glyph of the planets. If the number is 20, 80, 100, or 160 it will not appear in the list of symbols below, but it has the same meaning as the number 40. The precise location of the yellow and red lines is very sensitive to accuracy of birth time. On average, a difference of 1 minute in the time of birth can move the astrological influence about 15 miles in an east-west direction. Because it is very possible that your birth time can be inaccurate by a few minutes, you may find that the AstroMap can pinpoint the towns and cities that are most suitable for you, but you must rely on your own intuition to guide you to the most suitable areas within that town.

Your AstroMap is based on the most sophisticated and accurate astrological techniques available. These astrological influences have not yet been scientifically verified and astrology is a very controversial subject, but we do believe that there is validity to this map, and we hope you find it useful.

A place where you shine! You play an important part in the community, and you are able to express yourself well in this area.

A good place to make a home. You feel comfortable here. Nostalgic feelings.
 

You are active and tend to be mentally alert and active here. There are good opportunities for learning. Even if this area has little in the way of educational opportunities, a good book, an informative person, or interesting phenomenon is likely to arouse your curiosity.

You simply love this area! You attract love and beauty into your life, and a romantic relationship can develop and blossom here.

You are aggressive and active in this area. You tend to work hard here, but you may find it difficult to relax.

An excellent area for you! Opportunities present themselves and you are able to attract benefits and opportunities for growth.

Challenges and obstacles are encountered in this area. You are forced to focus on basics and develop greater discipline. You may feel lonely or unappreciated here.

Surprises and unexpected changes occur here. Plans are not likely to turn out as expected. People think you are unusual or strange, and you are in a mood to experiment and try different things.

Your imagination and sensitivity are very strong here. Interest in art or religion is likely to be strong. You may also feel confused or dreamy, unable to focus and accomplish anything. Avoid alcohol and stimulants while in this area.

Events beyond your control force you to face deep, hidden parts of yourself. You are likely to develop a passion or even fanaticism for some idea or interest. The road is bit bumpy here, but if handled well, can help you overcome limitations.

Try not to get into arguments or fights while in this area. There is a tendency to attract aggressive partners. Positively, you may develop a strong, ambitious partnership with the energy to achieve mutual goals, but the inability to handle frustrations well inclines towards arguments or hostility.

Others are likely to help you here. You meet influential people and rub elbows with those in positions of power. You are outgoing and gregarious here.

Challenges and obstacles to your relationships are encountered in this area. You are likely to question the basis of your relationships, and you dispense with relationships that are even slightly superficial or not meaningful.

Relationships with others are likely to take unexpected turns while you are in this area. Desire for excitement in relationships is strong, and commitment tends to be weak, resulting in sudden changes.

You encounter others who have great imagination and sensitivity, but a lack of maturity and a weak sense of responsibility. You can have fun with others here, but be very cautious to not involve yourself with people of low morals or poor character.

You will encounter people in this area that are likely to have a big effect on your life. Perhaps they will become life-long friends or change the direction of your life in some way. There is likely to be both good and bad effects from these relationships; the relationships cannot be avoided, but how you handle them is up to you.

Employment and career opportunities are good for you. Life is comfortable and you are likely to find yourself drawn to return to this area, and if you live in this area, you are likely to find that you can develop a healthy, positive life style here.

You take on serious work in this area and you are able to successfully accomplish tasks. You are responsible and hard-working, and others treat you with respect. Unless other astrological factors indicate otherwise, you may be a bit too serious or lonely in this area.

You find that many of your associates and friends have a different perspective and philosophy than you do, and you are forced to reconsider your views. With care and attention, all involved can learn a great deal.

Strong loving relationships are likely here, but you will also find that these relationships force you to change your priorities and some of your habits regarding the way you treat others. If you are willing to learn and change, you can successfully adapt to these changes and grow from them.

You are likely to find yourself given positions of leadership or greater authority, but power struggles with others are also likely. You need to learn when to take control of a situation and when to be more receptive and listen to others.

You are popular in this area, and enjoy the company of a large number of friends and acquaintances, but you are also likely to find that some of these relatinships are based on more superficial interests and values than you would like.

Issues of responsibility to others becomes an issue in this location. You may feel that you are imprisoned by your responsibilities, or that others expect too much of you and do not give you enough respect. With effort and care, these problems can be resolved.

In this area you will find that either you or those that you are closely involved with demand adjustments to the relationship, most likely greater freedom and fewer restrictions. The changes will be uncomfortable, but might prove to be good in the long run.

You are likely to share some big dreams with others in this location, but are also likely to find that over time your dreams and aspirations change, and both of you need to make adjustments. There are likely to be some disappointments, but also there is the opportunity to become much clearer about what is really important to you.

You are destined to develop friendships and personal relationships that deeply affect you while in this location. You are likely to develop strong feelings, both positive and negative, towards these people. Although it may seem that you are not contributing to the situation, you have drawn it to you in subtle ways, and you have the opportunity to improve long-standing difficult karmic patterns if you can handle the situations wisely.
